When to Work

The Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is responsible for providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for the citizens of the City of Friendswood, Texas. This covers approximately 21 square miles and accounts for an estimated 29,000 residents. The department averages 2,400 calls a year. The Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is staffed with over 90 volunteers. Our volunteer department is supplemented with a paid day crew Monday through Friday. We currently operate three stations with a fourth station under construction. Emergency service is provided with three Mobile Intensive Care capable ambulances, four EMS First Responder vehicles, four engines, one ladder truck and other support vehicles.
